As we come towards the end of another decade, Paul Weller is still putting out material that is always different from his previous. This track off his latest album at the time of writing is a blissful Semi Acoustic affair that has opening notes reminiscent of T-Rex Get it on or Cigarettes and Alcohol if you wanna play the Oasis rip off. But its only mildly similar. 

However his voice is somewhat relaxed on this track as he is now in his 60's. He can pull off the same effect he did in his more chilled out tracks from the Style Council's more softer compositions. This track the Mayfly has all the qualities of a truly soulful affair, proving he still has plenty left in his pocket to offer.

PREFAB SPROUT B-SIDES Paddy Mcaloon and his band Prefab Sprout are one of the finest Rock/Pop/Indie crossover bands of the 80's & 90's and beyond With varying degrees of commercial success over the years, they have certainly earned their place in music history. But there is another story to hot dogs and jumping frogs. There is a side to the groups legacy that generally only the die hard fans and collectors usually know.
