Paul Weller has been many different characters over his 40 plus year career. From the cappuccino kid to the peacock suit man, he has certainly changed and morphed in more ways than one. His song writing skills have gone from angry punk to piano love ballads all the way to reflective acoustic numbers and as heavy as a straight up rock and roll anthem. He has certainly covered it all and inspired many different generations and musicians alike.

If ever there was an anti government song that really echoes down the decades and still remains very relevant in today's political world, then The Lodgers is it. A  direct assault on those at number 10 and the reality for those beneath them. A fine blend of politics with a touch of Soul & Pop combined with Weller's almost aggressive message makes the contrast of this song highlight his talent in the most perfect way.

PREFAB SPROUT B-SIDES Paddy Mcaloon and his band Prefab Sprout are one of the finest Rock/Pop/Indie crossover bands of the 80's & 90's and beyond With varying degrees of commercial success over the years, they have certainly earned their place in music history. But there is another story to hot dogs and jumping frogs. There is a side to the groups legacy that generally only the die hard fans and collectors usually know. A world where Mcaloon wrote and recorded some of his finest lyrics, that were crafted into beautifully structured compositions.
